Dear family & friends

PLEASE HELP WITH OUR FIGHT AGAINST METASTATIC BREAST CANCER!!

Dear friends and family,

We are spearheading a campaign to raise funds to help find a cure for  Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC), and are writing to you to ask for your  help. Most of you know that our mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She  has since had surgery/treatment and is currently in remission, but unfortunately, she will never be 100% clear of this disease until they  find a cure for this secondary form of cancer called Metastatic Breast  Cancer.

Any woman that has had breast cancer has a 30% chance of getting this incurable form… but that’s what we are trying to change. With  your help we will raise money to help fund research to find a cure for  MBC.  We are selling special pink hockey laces to our hockey community  and will be donating all our proceeds (minus the lace costs) to  Metavivor. They are the leading charity funding the  efforts to cure MBC and they donate all their proceeds. You can read all  about them on their webpage: www.Metavivor.org  Last year Lacing Up For Mom was able to exceed their goal, donating $5,570 to Metavivor. This year, my brother and I have a donation goal of $7,000.

So you don’t need or want pink laces? You can still help us reach our goal! By donating directly to Metavivor through the link on our Lacing Up For Mom webpage, you too will know you made a difference and are helping fight this terrible disease. Any donation, big or small, will help researchers find a cure. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE! You will automatically receive a receipt via email for your donation to Metavivor. They are a 501(c)(3) corporation.

Please join us in this fight and donate through our webpage (www.LacingUpForMom.com). From the home page, scroll down to the bottom to where you will find a pink tab labeled “DONATE TO METAVIVOR”. From there you will be guided on how to make your donation. It  would be a huge show of support, not only to our mom, but to other  women (and men) out there that are battling with this same reality. Please feel free to pass along this email to help spread the word!

Thank you for taking the time to read our message. With your help, we hope to make a difference and reach our goal by the end of the “Breast Cancer Awareness” month of October!

Sincerely,

Sean and Chris
